Hey there!

I’m Trista: photographer, hairstylist, wife, mom, and the woman behind Trista Aubrey Photography.

I’ve spent my career working with people and making them feel comfortable in front of me. I started as a hairstylist in 2013, and somewhere along the way, a love for photography grew into a second career that I absolutely love.

These days, life is full, usually split between the salon, photography, and raising my sweet little boy. Becoming a mom myself has only made me appreciate photographs more. The little things change so quickly, and I’ve learned just how much the ordinary moments end up meaning.

My Approach

When you book with me, you get more than someone who knows her way around a camera. I'm there to make things feel easy.

I'll give direction when you need it, fix the little things you might not notice, keep things moving when there's a lot happening and give you space when a moment doesn't need any help from me.

You don't need to know what to do with your hands or worry about whether your kids will cooperate. You just need to show up as yourselves. I'll take care of the rest.

My goal is for your photos to feel beautiful without feeling overly perfect. Full of movement, connection, personality and all the little things that make this season of your life yours.
